I don't even have anything to add other than this: I love this video and she's 100% right. If you have a day where you don't feel too good about yourself, watch this.

New in: clothes.
Before I went to visit my mum in Copenhagen for two weeks last month, I decided to treat myself a little. My wardrobe only consists of black t-shirts, black jeans, a few white t-shirts and a single gray tank top, so I figured I needed to freshen it up a bit for spring and summer.
Foolish of me to end up buying two black things. But hey, at least they're different than the black things I already have! All the things are from H&M.

Clothing lines.
Now, I'm not that kind of person who buys something just because of the brand and I honestly never thought I'd be the person to say that a certain kind of brand generally appeals to me. I'd always thought I'd just stick to different shops and buy whatever I found fit enough for me regardless of the brand.
But lately (which in this case means the last three or so years) I've found myself becoming more fond of certain clothing brands. I must admit that I'm kinda judging myself for liking these brands, mostly because the only reason I know about them are some of the founders, who are all in different bands. I won't say I like the clothes just because I like the bands and there are of course clothes I don't like, but it's thanks to those bands and their members that I like the clothing brands. So I'm just gonna give you a cheeky little list over my favourite clothing brands!
Firstly I'd like to mention the clothing brand called Cheer Up Clothing, which was the first one I discovered. It's founded by Matt Barnes from You Me At Six and his friend Edward Thomas and is based in London. I have bought a few things from there, the latest being a rucksack I'll show to you whenever it arrives. The first ever item I bought from them was back in 2010 when I'd seen You Me At Six live for the first time and Matt was reppin one of their t-shirts - so of course, as the fangirl I was, I had to own that particular t-shirt. Unfortunately I have no idea where it is today.
The clothes they make are quite simple but also very stylish. They usually cover pretty much everything you could need, from t-shirts, to shirts, to hoodies, to crop tops and even socks. I really like their work and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future will bring for them. Their latest collection is called Space and is for spring/summer time - and no, it's not what you think with all those galaxy things going on (is that even still a thing? Yeah I know nothing about fashion). I can only recommend people to check them out!
Second brand I'm gonna give a cheeky little mention is Love Before Glory. It was established in 2006 by Jaxin Hall, a Kiwi kid with a big dream. Today they are based in SoCal. Santa Ana to be more exact. Jaxin is joined by his best friend Tony Perry from Pierce The Veil and they are both working hard to make this and their other brand Key Street going. Their clothes represent who they are and what they like a lot - for example they have a few stuff with turtles and even a t-shirt that's Star Wars related, which Tony (and Jaxin as well I assume) really like. And over at Key Street they're doing some magic with pheasants at the moment, which means a lot to Jaxin.
One thing that's unfortunate about this clothing brand is the price of the shipping. If you live outside the US it's insanely expensive, which is quite the bummer if you really want some of their clothes. Also they don't have a lot of stuff for the ladies, but if you, like me, don't really care if your t-shirt or hoodie is actually supposed to be clinging to the body of a man, you should go ahead and check out their stuff.
Last, but definitely not least, is Become Antique. It's based in London as well and was established in 2010 by Henri Pickersgill and Max Helyer from You Me At Six. I've read somewhere that the idea of their brand was to make products that once they sold out would never be for sale again - hence the name Antique. But fortunately that's not the case with them as it is today. They're moving forward quickly and it's well deserved. Their clothes are, like the Cheer Up clothes, simple yet stylish. One unfortunate thing with this brand is that, just like LBG, they don't have a lot of stuff for the ladies. It has luckily become better with their newest spring/summer collection with jewelry, leggings and whatnot. So if you're up for it and just the least bit curious, go and check them out!
All in all I would say the style of all three clothing companies are simple yet stylish. It's kind of mostly black/grey/navy colours, with a wee bit of coloursplash in the spring/summer collections. If I should put a label on it, it'd be sort of like skater clothes or some shizz, I don't even know man.
Quick little pro tip: if you like a clothing brand that a certain band member that you also like is a part of, why not go ahead and buy your favourite piece of clothing (or any other product they make) and wear/bring it for the gig. It's a great conversation starter if you meet that certain band member and you're lost with words, and I can assure you it will make them extremely happy to see you reppin their brand. I speak from personal experience, so I can be trusted. Pro tip over! Now go and check out those clothing brands.

The end of an era.
So for years and years, I don't even remember how many exactly, there has been one TV show that has been standing out to me. That TV show is How I Met Your Mother. It was the first TV show I started to watch both randomly whenever it was on TV and also the first one I started to watch regularly. Most of my friends know and like the show, both old and new friends, so I've always been able to make jokes about it to them. It's just my favourite show. Ever.
And that TV show has had 9 seasons. It ended on Monday, the 31st of March, where two episodes aired in a row, the last ones ever. I have to admit my expectations to the ending were pretty high, since the rest of the show has been amazingly brilliant. But I was definitely disappointed...
I won't give away anything, no spoilers are to be seen on this blog, but honestly it was an ending that I really didn't expect and I didn't like it at all. It had been building up to one thing happening the entire show and then you'd expect that to be the ending, but nope. That being said I get why they made the plot twist the way they did.. I just don't like it.
This is only the second time ever I witness a TV show finale and it's even worse than the first time. No more Tuesdays (Monday evenings in America) spent watching the newest HIMYM episode, no more discussing what will happen in the upcoming episodes with friends, no more.
Pathetic as I am I cried during every single episode of season 9. Yeah, told you it was pathetic. But it's just been one hell of a ride. I will never stop loving that show and I will always go back and watch it from the very first episode again, if I have the time.
I would like to thank all the members of the cast of the show, especially Josh Radnor, Cobie Smulders, Jason Segel, Neil Patrick Harris and Alyson Hannigan for bringing the characters so much legendary awesomeness. And a huge thank you to the producers, directors and writers for making such a brilliant show.I request the highest of fives!
It's been legen.... wait for it... DARY!

Song of the month.
So this is a new thing that I literally made up at poo-am one night. Basically all I'm gonna do is pick one song by the end of each month that I've been enjoying listening to throughout the past month. I'm not promising I'll do it each and every month if I'm too busy or anything (just like with the favourites thing), but it's out there now and I'll do it whenever I feel like it and have time for it.
The song of March has definitely been Gossip by You Me At Six. My friends who also like the band and I have made loads of weird jokes involving that song this month, even though it's a song about nothing special. It's just fun.

My first time.
This post is inspired by, well, every YouTuber I've seen doing these videos. It was a thing they did a while ago and I suddenly remembered it and thought it'd be kind of fun to do my own little version of this. So here you go!
First concert.
The first concert I went to on my own was Cinema Bizarre back in 2008, I think. I sat in the queue for a long time, as you do, with two of my old friends whom I no longer speak to, but I remember it as a lovely day. They played at Lille Vega in Copenhagen, which is the venue where I've seen most bands live. I don't remember much of the show, but I seem to recall it was a really good one. I do remember that they were acting silly and connecting well with the crowd. I didn't get to meet any of them, because I did a what was later known as a Tville - I simply left before the band came out from the venue. And yes, the Tville was a phrase that was used by my friends whenever we were talking about concerts. Luckily it's not a thing anymore.
First album.
I'm not even sure what the first album I bought myself was, but the first album I remember buying myself was Elephunk by Black Eyed Peas. Yeah, that's kind of odd to me as well. I apparently had a phase where I liked them a lot. I don't remember it too well, though. I do still enjoy their music from time to time, but it's not something I actively listen to and I probably wouldn't attend a concert with them if they ever came to Denmark, just because it'd probably be more than I could afford.
First journey.
The first time I ever left the country without my parents was back in 2008 when I went to Budapest, Hungary with my classmates, some teachers and a few parents to kids in my class. It was a trip that brought us even closer together even though it was our last year in school before college and all, but we all enjoyed it a lot and we got to see different sides of each other.
The first time I left the country without any adults - besides myself - was when I went to Dublin, Ireland in the summer of 2012. It was only a weekend and I was supposed to attend concerts, but they got cancelled just before we left. Nonetheless it was a nice trip which was spent shopping and hanging in bars. And Dublin is such a beautiful city!
First accident.
It was when I was two years old (I think) and hit my head so hard I had to get stitches, but I honestly don't remember anything from that episode and my parents haven't told me much about it. I have a weird memory of me sitting in a chair and then somehow falling off it, but I'm not sure that's what really happened. Basically my childhood is one big blur of real memories and dreams I've apparently had. Weird, huh.
First sibling.
This was of course my baby brother, who was born in early 1996. Our parents have told us that I apparently treated him very well when he was a baby and I was two years old. I never hit him, I never made him cry and I loved playing with him. Later on when we were older we never got into real fights, neither with words nor fists, but we always always always had stupid discussions about things that didn't matter at all. But we'd always be good friends again minutes later. I remember that we always knew how the other one was feeling, even though I don't recall us talking about our feelings even once. Much later he was joined by my dad's girlfriend's kids and I really hope they've come to stay because I love them like they're my real siblings.
First kiss.
If the little pecks in kindergarten with boyfriends people had back then counts, then I assume it was with my boyfriend at the time. I don't actually remember it, but I know we did kiss. But if that one doesn't count I honestly don't remember who my first real kiss was. I have absolutely no idea who it was, where it was, when it was or how it was. It could've been between the ages 12-15, because that's the few years of my life where I don't remember much. It's one big blur, worse than my childhood. But I literally don't remember and hearing what everyone tells about their first kiss and how terrible it was, I'm actually glad I don't remember. I do remember my first drunk kiss, though.
First time I got drunk.
This was in 2009 when I was 15 and it was at the party our classmates threw when our last day of school before the exams started. We'd been out at a restaurant for dinner with our teachers and that was really nice. After that we parted ways with our teachers and went home to one of my classmates, who threw the party in his basement. I don't even remember what I had been drinking, only that it was also the first time I ever tasted tequila, which I really didn't like and I still don't. I ended up vomiting on the street and lying on the pavement with my head resting in my at the time best friend's lap. He sobered up because I was drunk for the first time and he had to take care of me, which was so sweet. My mum picked me up a bit after midnight and I remember that I had to concentrate really hard to not puke everywhere in the car. Oops.

08.03.14: You Me At Six.
This day was something that I had been looking forward to in a really long time. Nearly three and a half years to be a bit more exact. I was convinced that they weren't going to play another show in Denmark, because they'd gotten too big. But, as Max said, it's really nice that they play at a smaller venue once in a while.
I arrived at Lille Vega a bit after 9am and spent the entire day in the queue with a bunch of lovely people. We had a lot of fun even though it was a bit cold, especially during the end after it had gotten dark. But it was definitely worth it, it always is! Before the show started I got a picture with Josh, Matt and Max and a little quick chat with Max. They all seemed really nice. I also chatted a bit with their camera man who was running around outside to film and interview people in the queue and also a little awkward chat with Matthew from Deaf Havana.
The concert itself was absolutely brilliant. I almost didn't get pushed, only by some annoying Swedes who thought it was appropriate to grind all over my back, but that was before any of the band went on stage. The energy from the band as well as the crowd was incredible, it was literally one of the best concerts I've been to in a while. Deaf Havana did such a great job, even though they were kind of awkward when they were speaking in between songs, but that was just cute. I've rarely ever seen such a great response to a support band!
You Me At Six were all so full of energy and I think it just rubbed off on the crowd, as well as the crowd's energy rubbed off on them. They seemed almost surprised by how people were singing along to both new and old songs and how we were cheering. Josh kept promising that they'd not go another three and a half years without doing another gig here, and I know bands are supposed to say that, but I'd like to believe him. At one point Josh's voice went nuts when he was talking and he just laughed it off and started doing Batman impressions instead.
After the show I didn't really want pictures since I'd already gotten that, but I hung out by the bus anyway, I just stayed in the background. But as people slowly started to go home and the people hangning out were more chill, the band stayed to chat to everybody so I decided to talk a bit to Matt and Max, which was so increcibly nice. They were both so chill and down to earth, which I really didn't count on. They weren't just out there to take pictures and sign stuff to make their fans happy, it actually made them happy as well to do that and to casually chat to anyone who wanted to. It was really sweet of them. Max was even freezing his bum off (understandable since he didn't wear a jacket), but he stayed outside anyway becaue he wanted to chat to as many fans as possible.
I have to say that I was positively surprised by how they performed their songs from Cavalier Youth. So much more energy and rawness live than I expected, but it's exactly what I wanted, so I'm really happy. They did perform a few songs from the old albums, but none from Take Off Your Colours, even though it'd been awesome if they'd played If I Were In Your Shoes. They did play Bite My Tongue, though, in which Josh did an amazing job with Oli Syke's part. If you ask me he did a way better job than Oli does.
All in all it was an amazing day and I miss all the great events a lot. I did lose my iPod which has been my life compainion ever since I was like 11 or 12 years old. Yeah, it's been with me for a while and it worked perfectly fine. But it's alright, I can't even be sad about that because the day was so amazing. If I could go back in time I would definitely relive it over and over again.
