Who needs a relationship when you have friends?

I spent a few days with Cille at her place the last couple of days, which was amazing. Saturday we went to Copenhagen and she got two new tattoos whilst I was having dinner at my grandparents', and later we met up with Hannah to go to a concert with the Danish band Cold Black at City of Sin.

I'd never listened to their music before, but they were actually pretty good - and also some really nice guys. If you want to, you can check them out HERE.

A very happy (and very drunk) Hannah & Cille.
Victor (lead singer + bassist) & Martin (guitarist), both pretty drunk.

Belated birthday presents.

Saturday I went to Marie's place to actually celebrate her birthday - even though it was actually back in October. But since both Cille and I were in England when she was celebrating, and a lot of the other people who were invited didn't have the time/money for it, she moved it to December instead.

And that meant that she had to get her Christmas presents. Cille and I gave her a package from Lush, bought in Bristol, which contained Snow Fairy and two bath soaps.
Marie wasn't the only one to get presents, though. I gave Mia Malene a book of Steven Tyler, which she just loves to death already.

They also gave me presents. From Marie I got a temporary gift: a cup with a cute little bowtie on it! I'm actually drinking tea from it right now. Yum!
And Mia Malene gave me a small package from The Body Shop, which contains a body scrub, a body butter and a shower gel, all smelling lovely of lemon. I've actually never had anything from The Body Shop before, because I always thought the scents were too strong on all their products, which just made me avoid those stores. But I love the smell of these products, luckily!

New header.

I've wanted a new header in a while. Well, before it was just text because I didn't know what to put in my header picture, but I wanted a custom one. So last night I sat for like an hour, struggling with Photoshop and tutorials on Youtube.

But now I've made the perfect (in my opinion) new blog header. I think it's amazing and it fits my blog really well. It represents two of the things I love the most.

I used a Photoshop action that can be found on my friend Mia Malene's blog HERE. To be more exact, I used action number seven, if you'd like to know. Then I downloaded a few new brushes with music notes, because I don't think I will ever have a blog header without music on it in some sort of way. Believe me, it was really hard for a retard like me to use brushes. As the background picture I used one of my own pictures I took while I was in Bristol, of the harbourside. I also have that picture on my new Mastercard!

And last, but not least, the text in my new (and old) header is inspired of a song made by the band Of Mice & Men named Let Live. It originally goes "Met a drug that changed my life", but I changed it into my own little phrase, because it fits me so well. If it wasn't for music, I don't know what my life would have looked like. Without music I wouldn't have most of my amazing friends I have today. Without music I wouldn't know how to go through my day.

So I hope you'll enjoy my new header at least half as much as I do, since I'll probably always be enjoying it mostly, because well, I made it and it's actually one of the few things I made with Photoshop that I'm really proud of. Probably the thing I'm most proud of.

Soundtrack of my life.

Pierce The Veil ft. Kellin Quinn - King For A Day.

This song is seriously the soundtrack of my life these days. I heard it for the first time in Bristol where Cille played it for me and I quickly started to like it. I didn't really listen to the lyrics, because we always had music playing in the background when we were chilling in our room. But when I came back home I remembered the song (mostly because I miss Bristol like hell) and found it on YouTube, where I listened to it for a while before actually downloading it. I also read the lyrics for it somewhere on the internet, and I quickly fell completely in love with it.

I've played it 60 times on my iTunes since I downloaded it Tuesday last week and at least 100 times on YouTube and on my iPod. I keep hitting the repeat button when I listen to it, because it's just that awesome. It's one of those songs I can listen to again and again and just not grow tired of!

Kellin Quinn is from the band Sleeping With Sirens and even though I'm not a fan of that band, I actually really like Kellin's voice. Especially in this song. It just sounds so damn orgasmic in harmony with Vic's (lead singer of Pierce The Veil) voice. The lyrics are really awesome as well!

By the way, check out my review of Pierce The Veil's latest album on MiaMalene's blog!

The weekend.

I spent Saturday and Sunday with two lovely ladies - Emma and Cille.
We had a really nice time and I already miss both of them. I'm actually wearing Emma's ring right now! I can't wait to see them again soon, we're gonna celebrate new years togther and it'll be so nice :D

It's soon been a year since Cille and I first met Emma, and time has passed by incredibly fast! Back then we were going to a gig in Copenhagen to hang with each other and the lovely dudes from The Dead Lay Waiting, who actually brought us together. Cute!

By the way, sorry for the lack of blogging the past couple of days.. I'm back to doing nothing, and to be honest my life in Denmark isn't too exciting, since yeah, I'm not doing anything at all. And let's face it, being in another country is much more cool to blog about than doing absolutely nothing.

09.11.12.

So Friday was our last day of school in Bristol, which of course made us pretty sad. We didn't go to our lecture class, since we had to talk to some dude at the activities office, but we of course went to our General English class, where our favourite teacher was.

Our topic that week had been music and our teacher had prepared a small quiz about modern music and we had to answer the questions in pairs, Cille and I were together.
Now, he knew that we were the experts on music in that class, and in the end of the quiz we were the group with most correct answers. What we didn't expect was that he pulled out two small trophies out of his bag and handed them to us.

We also got our certificates that day, and said goodbye to everyone. It was actually pretty sad, and to be honest we didn't want to leave the school. We wanted to stay, and trust me, if we had the money, we would still be there.
But eventually we left and went to get some lunch at a Mexican restaurant. I tell you, burritos are great! After a while of walking around in the city and shopping some more (oops), we went back home to chill and get ready for the party later that evening.

That party was really awesome! We went to a club called Walkabout, and we partied hard with all our friends. And I was hammered, like really, it was so much fun! We took these shots that tasted kinda like soda - except one that tasted awful, like marzipan. Those and a couple of Vodka RedBull made sure that I was completely wankered at the time where the club closed.
We were outside and didn't feel like going home at all, so we went to Stokes Croft, because Cille needed cigarettes and we ended up outside a pizzaria, with a box of chips in hands, talking to some random dudes we ran into - who for some reason knew one of our friends. We spent a while talking to them and came back home at 7 in the morning.

All in all a great day and night. And of course the trip itself was super awesome - I'd like to repeat that. And we're going to, since we're planning to go back again next summer, of course just for holidays. But we're probably joined by Selma and Emma. And I just really can't wait!

Me, Cille and some of our friends from EF.

I'm lucky!

Feeling pretty lucky right now, and very honoured. And why is that?

Because my friend MiaMalene needed guest bloggers for her blog, and I offered my help. So I wrote a blog post, and now it's posted on her blog! I know how many readers she has, so it's really exciting for me to be such a big part of her blog. I've never tried anything like that before, so I was kinda nervous about it, but I didn't want to spend too much time on the blog post, because I knew I'd never get it done, if I kept reading it through and changing everything.

Anyway, you can of course take a look at her blog right HERE.

Halloween outfit.

Unfortunately we were in a hurry last night, so I only got to take one picture, before we rushed out the door to catch the last bus headed to the City Centre. And it was unfortunately taken with my iPhone. But I thought I'd show you anyway, just because.

As I told you, I had spend hours doing this outfit, and it really did pay off - we had one of the most amazing nights! We got drunk really quickly, as planned, and so did Michael, which was also planned. The most crazy thing about the night was to get into the freaking venue. Everyone was acting like some musician was inside and about to play, I have literally never been pushed that much in my life! Someone next to us in the queue had been waiting for like an hour to get in! Luckily we got in pretty quickly and found Michael just as we got in.

And it was not like those parties back home in Denmark - it was huge! And I loved it! Anyone planning to go to England should definitely go to a party at an O2 Academy venue.

Sneak peek.

Today after school Cille and I went to shop a few gifts for people back home in Denmark. Both Marie And MiaMalene needs birthday presents and Jeanette needs a Christmas present. Also we need to buy one for Emma, and then I need to buy small gifts for Julian, Jeanett and Ziggy, I'll probably just buy something in the souvenir shop for them.

Here's a small sneak peek on what I'm going to give people so far!

Local bands.

I happen to know a few people who play in local bands that actually give concerts. And lately I've been seeing those bands live a lot. This late summer / fall, there have been a hell lot of concert with the local bands, more than usually.

All the bands play songs in English and they all have EP's out. One of the bands actually have their album for sale on iTunes! And I just thought you should give them a chance and listen a bit to them.

The first band is Bleeding Justice. You can describe their music as old school heavy metal and rock. They find their inspiration in the 70's and 80's rock, blues and metal. Their first album is out on iTunes and is called Temper Like The Devil, and it's a really great album! I bought it myself, and I love listening to it. Their concerts are of course very intimate, but with a very nice atmosphere. I know the lead singer and one of the guitarists in this band.
Check them out on Facebook HERE and on iTunes!

The second band is Xchained. I have to admit that when I first heard this band (which was live, I was sitting outside the venue because I was poor lol) I didn't really like their music. I thought it was too messy and it made no sense. I do like metal and genres like that, but I also really like when music makes sense and has a flow in it, so it's not just some random noise. But the second time I heard (and saw) them live, they were actually really good, and suddenly I felt like their music does make sense. You can describe their music as a lot of metal genres mixed together, they don't just stick to one genre but use whatever they think sound good, so it's kinda hard to put a label with a genre on their music.
This band has an EP out called No Chains Attached with a really cool drawing on the front. They don't have any record label, so they recorded all their music themselves! I know one of the guitarists and the drummer in this band.
Check them out on Facebook HERE!

The last local band I know is Deafbeats. For the people who doesn't like metal music, but does like rock, this band is what you're going to listen to. Their genres are something like experimental rock and alternative rock. Their music is very soft and they find their inspiration from bands such as The Beatles, Queens of the Stonage, Muse, Arctic Monkeys and The White Stripes.
They have a music video to one of their songs, which is called You And Your Shitty Measures. And their newest EP called Inchmetal is released the 28th of October (which I unfortunately can't join, since I'm in England). I know the front singer, the guitarist and the drummer in this band.
Check them out on Facebook HERE, their website HERE and watch their first music video HERE!
